somebody else has probably done this already, but whenever I see these animated movie crossovers, this is all I can think about:

“What’s that on your back? I’ve never seen that one before!”

“By the bones,” Rory said exasperatedly, whipping around so his back faced the wall. The Tin Man’s head was tilted at an absurdly perfect right angle towards him. “Doesn’t your system detect personal space?” He’d been putting gauze on the cut on his side, and now he yanked his shirt down like a fidgety teenage girl.

“How many feet would you like me to stand away from your person?”

“Five million,” Rory growled, and the Tin Man looked crestfallen.

“Command cancelled,” Iris said, rolling her eyes. “What’s the big deal? We’ve seen all the rest of your tattoos.” Until the Tin Man had pointed it out, it really hadn’t occurred to her that she hadn’t seen the ones on his back.

Rory scowled. “The big deal is that it’s none of your damn business!”

“Is that a wolf? Or a bear?” the Tin Man asked conspiratorially.

Rory turned slightly purple. For a moment he spluttered while both of his companions stared at him. Then he made a sound like a dying cow and snapped, “It’s a lion!” before he stomped off. He did not offer further visual evidence.

Iris blinked mildly as he kicked his way through the door and thumped down the stairs. She glanced sideways at the Tin Man, who looked equally bewildered.

“Sensitive lad, isn’t he?”
